Benefits of giving back to the Kappa Chapter

It is no secret that being part of a group like Phi Sigma Kappa is impactful throughout the remainder of our lives. We have heard from our brothers about the influence that the Kappa Chapter has had on our futures, but what happens when we give back? This is what your brothers have to say about the benefits of giving back:

“While serving on the Kappa Chapter Board, I met another group of great guys who have the same sort of long-term camaraderie,” he said. “Chapter golf outings and alumni work weekends have strengthened my ties to another generation of brothers.  And the current brothers are doing a great job building similar bonds, having lived together during the pandemic.” Bruce Balmat ’70

[If more brothers gave], “we could have lower cost for the undergrads and also keep the house up to date as new technologies are offered.” – James Hancock ‘53

“The house always needs something, whether a planned capital or an emergency expense. Or perhaps one of our young brothers needs financial assistance. Room and board charges don’t cover these costs. That’s what’s good for the house and the brothers.” – Jim Spahn ‘76

Mike understands that if more alumni give back “it would make the propagation of the brotherhood easier and more sustainable.”Mike Bache ’78
