Thanks to Terry Henderson ’65 for taking us back with this update about the house from 50 years ago! See what Terry had to say about the house below.
“I don’t know how many older alums remember that the house used to have ivy growing on the walls. When I was pledge class president in 1962 I was looking for a class project and discovered the ivy. Our house in built from relatively soft stone and the ivy tendrils were quickly destroying it. I showed the house manager the problem by pulling down a vine and a lot of the stone with it. He agreed, our class got it’s project and the rest is history. I can not imagine the damage that ivy would have done in the last 50+ years if we had let it go.”
Thanks again, Terry, what an interesting fact about the ivy around the house!
